As an SME Social selling is a growing trend, that is set to become even more widespread in 2016. Those who utilize this approach will show significant growth in their business. For sellers it looks like the most used is LinkedIN. Twitter draws the second most sellers to their site. In spite of this success, most selling professionals are not proficient with social selling. As more become competent in this area the number of businesses utilizing this will increase.
The companies using social selling are growing at a rate of over 20% higher than those not using these methods.
In spite of this, participation in social selling is still in its infancy and its a limited tool in SME’s. On the other hand those who are utilizing this method are often either self-taught or just had some informal training. Only a small percentage of the companies have a formal plan to implement this technique with proper training and planning. Many companies simply do not know how to start to get the process to work for them. More and more companies are looking for ways to train employees to use techniques to leverage it so we expect the significance of social selling to increase greatly in the coming months and years.
It’s one to have on your radar as increasing in its significance, something worth taking more than a passing interest in in our opinion.
